How it works

A coin's birth moment is the time of the Solana block its launch transaction landed in. At that second, STARBORN computes the geocentric positions of the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn on the ecliptic of date (the tropical zodiac), using astronomy-engine, an open-source ephemeris accurate to well under a degree.

From those come each planet's sign and degree, which planets were retrograde (moving backwards as seen from Earth), the Moon's phase, and the major aspects: conjunction (0°, orb 8°), sextile (60°, orb 5°), square (90°, orb 7°), trine (120°, orb 7°), opposition (180°, orb 8°).

A real rising sign needs a birthplace. A coin doesn't have one, so the chain chooses: the first four bytes of the launch block's hash set the rising degree. The block hash is made by the network, not the creator, so nobody can pick it. Houses are whole-sign houses counted from the rising sign.

If the block can't be read, the transaction's recent blockhash is used instead, and the chart says so.

Each launch is a normal pump.fun coin created through PumpPortal, with two extra instructions in the same transaction: a note that reads starborn:1:s (or :u for an uploaded image), and a zero-SOL touch of the STARBORN registry address 7oaFFz5MUPC22j2pbF3fSwtLhuK8wFapLrSvuJGcvQJw.

The Observatory lists every transaction that touched that address, keeps only real pump.fun launches, and casts each chart from the block's own time and hash. The note holds no chart data, so there is nothing to fake. There is no database.

You choose the second you sign, so you choose the sky. The launch page shows the live positions and the coming windows: the next Moon sign changes, the next new and full moons, and planetary stations, found by root-finding on the ephemeris. Want a Full Moon coin? Wait for it.

Pick the birth-chart sigil as your coin's image and it is drawn from the sky at the moment you prepare the launch.

Each day at noon UTC, every coin's natal chart is compared with the real sky. The tightest transit picks a fixed, pre-written template. No AI, no randomness: the same coin gets the same reading all day. Compatibility scores two charts from the real aspects between them. Both are for fun and predict nothing.

Any pump.fun coin can be charted from its mint address, using pump.fun's creation timestamp. That time comes from pump.fun's API, not a block, so the chart is marked unverified and its rising sign is seeded by the mint address.

You pay pump.fun's creation cost, your dev buy (0.01 to 2 SOL), PumpPortal's small fee on the dev buy, and network fees. Before you sign, the site simulates the launch and refuses anything above a safety cap: the dev buy times 1.25 plus 0.1 SOL (for a 0.1 SOL dev buy, at most 0.225 SOL). STARBORN takes no fee.

The site never holds your keys or funds. Your wallet shows the transaction and you approve it there. The coin's mint key is generated in your browser and never leaves it.
